Caffè Bongo
Situated on Tokyo’s busiest crossroads, Caffè Bongo’s dramatic entrance was an arresting pop-classical collage. Bursting with vocabulary from the worlds of music and fashion, the cafe’s aircraft-wing-meets-Piranesian-Rome aesthetic expressed the fundamental design currents of the late twentieth century.
