Jigsaw High St Kensington
Back in 1989, my studio did our first of many stores for Jigsaw for their new flagship in Kensington. The idea was to accentuate the sunny spirit behind the clothes in an environment with a Mediterranean sun-drenched feel. It played up the look and feel of the clothes. I commissioned a sun sculpture from Tom Dixon and a wrought iron hanging system by André Dubreuil. Now, almost forty years on, we have revitalised the shop, most particularly with 45 huge ‘Lilium lamps’ that fill the ceiling with light and waft of nature. They offset the original sun lamp and hanging system which have been carefully restored to their original glory.
